Be Like Mike ...

Michael Jordan, arguably the greatest basketball player ever cared about many things, but three things were extremely important to him during his entire basketball career.

  1. His Body - Jordan wanted to be in the best possible shape he could.  He lifted weights, ate right and made sure he was in the best physical condition he could be in.
  2. His Skill - Jordan wanted to turn his weakness into strength.  He did not want to have a flaw.  So for five hours, five days a week he worked on his skill during the offseason.
  3. His Competitiveness - Jordan hated losing!  He would kill an ant with a sledgehammer.  Enough said.

FROM OUR COACHING STAFF

Picture
Our coaching staff would like to say thank you for taking the time to visit our site and we would like to welcome you to Flowing Wells High School Girls Basketball in Tucson, Arizona. Here at Flowing Wells we have one motto:  FAMILY

We live by that motto and it allows us to keep our heads up in defeat and demonstrate class in victory. The program in 2008 reached ultimate success winning the Arizona 4A-I State Title and finishing the season with a 33-1 record.

Our ability to accept and believe in our motto of FAMILY allows our players, coaches, and fans to understand that by enduring and working through the difficult times, success will ultimately follow.  We are very proud of our student athletes that have graduated high school and then continued their education at the secondary level.

We believe in building a program, not a team.  Teams come and go, programs and tradition never graduate.   Our FAMILY motto couldn't be more evident in the number of alumni that come back to the program to coach or assist.
