Self-Evaluation / Self-Assessment
The words above are defined as an assessment or evaluation of oneself or one's actions and attitudes, in particular, of one's performance at a job or learning task considered in relation to an objective standard.

KNOW YOUR WEAKNESSES:
To truly improve within your craft (basketball) you need to understand what your weaknesses are. To understand what these
weaknesses are you need to do a self-evaluation and/or have a coach evaluate you.
BE TRUTHFUL:
Honesty for this aspect of your game is imperative if you truly want to improve. Self honesty and honesty from your coach, ensuring that you are not being told what you want to hear, instead being told what you need to hear. And what you need to hear is the honest truth about what you are and are not good at when it comes to the game of basketball: playing ability, being a teammate, leadership, IQ, work ethic, etc.
Flaws within one's game are created due to the inability to hear the truth or in the ability to continually avoid the truth.
If you have zero weaknesses then you will never get better because you will have nothing to improve upon. That's just awful if you ask me. Imagine sitting there with the fact that you can or will never get better. Thats just a straight up bummer.
TAKE OWNERSHIP, DON'T MAKE EXCUSES:
"It was the court, the rim, my teammates or the refs that caused me to play the way I did"! --- this is an example of making excuses and not taking ownership of our inability to perform due to our weaknesses. You hardly ever hear someone after doing extremely well saying "Man that away court was awesome or the refs really called a great game allowing me to continually make my shots!"
The overall issue when you win or lose is you. Either you did what you needed to do to win the game or lose it. Knowing this, owning up to it and then wanting to improve upon it is what allows you to achieve your ultimate goals.
EVALUATE YOURSELF
As stated above you need to do a self evaluation and have a coach honestly evaluate you. Once you have this done you can then start working on your weaknesses.
